Colonel Henry Steel Olcott, a retired American civil war colonel who worked as a
journalist and lawyer.
William Quan Judge, a talented young lawyer noted for his organizational
skills.
There
were a few others around at the time but Blavatsky, Olcott and Judge are the
ones who picked it up and ran with it.
